Michael D. Duffy, Ph.D., ISU Professor of Economics and Director of the Beginning Farmer Center, and Rex Wilcox, Accredited Farm Manager and President of Stalcup Ag Service, will update us on Iowa farmland values and discuss trends in rental rates, demographics, transfer of land to the next generation, absentee ownership solutions and provide their outlook for the future.

Andrew R. Biebl, CPA, a tax principal with Larson Allen LLP, heads the firm’s federal tax services group. He is also a nationally recognized tax expert and an award-winning discussion leader. Biebl has co-written several tax publications as well as continuing professional education tax seminars and will discuss tax rate changes and the latest developments for individuals and businesses.

Our guest speaker, Jason R. Henderson, is vice president and Omaha Branch executive with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and will be discussing the Midwest economy.
Jason serves as the Bank’s regional economist and representative in the state of Nebraska, recruits and works closely with the Branch’s board of directors, and is responsible for briefing the Kansas City Fed’s president—a member of the Federal Open Market Committee—on economic and business activity in the state.
